Lil Nas X is getting a makeover, courtesy of James Charles.

The 21-year-old “Holiday” rapper made an appearance on the 21-year-old YouTuber‘s channel on Tuesday (November 17).

During his appearance, Lil Nas X discussed running a Nicki Minaj fan account called “nasmaraj” until making his debut, and then exploding in popularity with “Old Town Road” and its many remixes. He also revealed he’d still love to collaborate with Doja Cat.

He also talked about being held to a standard with the massive, record-breaking success of the song, pushing past negative comments, as well as “Panini,” and getting nominated at the Grammys.

He also discussed coming out as gay: “It was like scary as hell, and not knowing what was on the other side,” he revealed. They also joked about memes of themselves.
