Cardi B Makes History with American Music Awards 2020 Win!

Cardi B made history at the 2020 American Music Awards – and she unfortunately wasn’t even there to celebrate in person!

The 28-year-old rapper became the first artist in history to win Favorite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category at the AMAs twice.

Cardi first won the award in 2018 with her hit single “Bodak Yellow,” and won the award again on Sunday night (November 22) for her song “WAP” with Megan thee Stallion.

She then took to Twitter to celebrate her historic award, revealing she missed the show because of a dentist appointment.

“Thank you guys soooo much .Me and Meg really appreciate all the love from fans ,celebs everybody that supported the song .Also thanks for voting,” Cardi tweeted. “Ugh if I would have known all this was going down today I would of rescheduled my dentist http://appointment.Im so swollen 😩😂”

Along with tweet, Cardi also attached an audio message.

“I wish I would’ve known that I was going to get an AMAs or something, I wouldn’t have went to the dentist and f–ked with my teeth,” Cardi said with a laugh. “Now I’m all f–king talking all crazy. But I just wanted to say thank you everybody. I love you so much.”
