Here's How the Royal Family Reacted to News of Meghan Markle's Miscarriage

A source close to Buckingham Palace is reacting to news of Meghan Markle‘s miscarriage.

The 39-year-old Duchess of Sussex opened up in a personal essay released on Wednesday (November 25) revealing that she and husband Prince Harry suffered a miscarriage over the summer.

In the essay, she detailed a “sharp pain” that she felt in July while changing one-year-old son Archie’s diaper at home in California.

“I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right. I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second,” Meghan wrote.

It is now being reported that Meghan and Harry shared news of the miscarriage with their families.

“There is a lot of sadness around the family,” a Palace source shared with People.

Harry‘s father Prince Charles declined to comment, but separate Buckingham Palace source stressed that this is a deeply personal matter.

A second Royal Family source added there is “understandable sadness” in the family.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might not have been in London to join the Royal Family for Remembrance Day services recently, but they did honor the event in Los Angeles. Find out what they did.
