Joe Biden & Kamala Harris Named Time's Person of the Years 2020

Time magazine has officially named their Person of the Year – and it’s actually two people!

President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris have been named as Time’s 2020 Person of the Year.

“For changing the American story, for showing that the forces of empathy are greater than the furies of division, for sharing a vision of healing in a grieving world, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are TIME’s 2020 Person of the Year,” wrote Time editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal.

Biden and Harris made history back on November 7th after beating Donald Trump in the Presidential Election. Kamala Harris also made history as the country’s first female, first Black and first South Asian vice president-elect.

Before Time made their official announcement, the magazine revealed the four finalists that were in the running for Person of the Year.

In 2019, Time revealed that their Person of the Year was Greta Thunberg, the environmental activist. Greta has urged the world to act now to stop climate change.
