Serena Williams' Australian Open Look Goes Viral as She Reveals the Inspiration Behind the Outfit!
Serena Williams dominated in round one of the Women’s Singles at the 2021 Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Monday (February 8) in Melbourne, Australia.
The tennis champion defeated Laura Siegemund of Germany to move on to round two.
Serena’s unique and amazing outfit on the court was subject to lots of questions afterwards, and she said she was “inspired by Flo-Jo, who was a wonderful track athlete.” “Flo-Jo” refers to Florence Griffith-Joyner, who rocked a similar look in the 1980s during track meets!
Check out a photo of Flo-Jo, embedded below.
We’re glad to see Serena back on the court after this sad news.
Best of luck to Serena Williams as she prepares for her round two match in the Australian Open! We’re hoping she’s able to make it to the finals and land another grand slam title!
