PGA Tour Issues Statement After Tiger Woods' Serious Car Accident

The PGA Tour is issuing a statement about Tiger Woods.

The 45-year-old golf legend suffered a devastating car accident on Tuesday (February 23), and the professional golf tour organizers are speaking out with a message.

“We have been made aware of Tiger Woods‘ car accident today. We are awaiting further information when he comes out of surgery. On behalf of the PGA TOUR and our players, Tiger is in our prayers and will have our full support as he recovers,” Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a statement, adding that the entire Tour community had his wellbeing in their thoughts.

His agent, Mark Steinberg, said he suffered “multiple” leg injuries as a result of the crash.

“On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Ranchos Palos Verdes,” officials said in a statement. Find out more about what happened.
