Taylor Swift Officially Cancels 'Lover Fest' Shows, Gives Sad Update to Fans

Taylor Swift has some unfortunate news to share with fans.

The 31-year-old Evermore singer revealed on Friday (February 26) that her postponed Lover Fest concert dates are now officially canceled.

Taylor was set to go on tour in the summer of 2020 to promote her album Lover, but when the pandemic began, she canceled some of the dates and announced that she’d perform the rest in 2021. Now, all of the dates are officially canceled.

“I love coming on here to tell you good news, or to share a new project with you. It’s not my favorite thing in the world to have to tell you news I’m sad about. I’m so sorry, but I cannot reschedule the shows that we’ve postponed. Although refunds have been available since we first postponed the Lover Fest shows, many of you hung onto your tickets and I too hung onto the idea that we could reschedule,” Taylor said in a statement on social media.

She added, “This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future. I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to see you in person as soon as I wanted to. I miss you terribly and can’t wait til we can all safely be at shows together again.”

Taylor has given fans tons of incredible content to enjoy during the pandemic and there is more to come. She’s already released the albums Folklore and Evermore, as well as the Taylor’s Version of “Love Story.” Her re-recorded Fearless album will drop in April.
