Meghan Markle Shares Her Biggest Regret About Joining the Royal Family

Meghan Markle is sharing her one regret about Royal life.

Towards the end of their interview on Sunday night (March 7), Oprah asked the 39-year-old Duchess and Prince Harry if they have any regrets following their fallout with his family.

“No. I’m really proud of us,” the 36-year-old Prince shared. “I’m so proud of my wife. She safely delivered Archie during a period of time which was so cruel and so mean. Every day I was coming back to my life in London and she was crying while breastfeeding Archie. We did what we had to do.”

Meghan, on the other hand, has one big regret.

“I have one. My regret is believing them when they said I would be protected,” Meghan shared. “And I regret believing that because I think had I really seen that that wasn’t happening, I would have been able to do more, but I think I wasn’t supposed to see it.”

She continued, “I wasn’t supposed to know and now because we’re actually on the other side, we’ve actually not just survived but are thriving.”

Earlier in the interview, Meghan talked about being under the false impression that the Royal Family would “protect” her, when in reality, they didn’t. Because of that, Meghan admitted that she struggled with suicidal thoughts.
