Lil Nas X's Satan Shoes Prompt a Lawsuit from Nike - Find Out Why

Lil Nas X‘s Satan shoes have already cause some controversy on social media and now a lawsuit has been filed over them.

The shoes were created in collaboration with MSCHF and they were made using the Nike Air Max ’97. The most controversial feature of the shoes is the drop of human blood that is part of them.

666 pairs of the shoes were created and they were listed for $1,018. All of the shoes sold out in less than a minute.

Nike has filed a lawsuit against MSCHF as the company does not endorse the sneakers.

Nike files this lawsuit to maintain control of its brand, to protect its intellectual property, and to clear the confusion and dilution in the marketplace by setting the record straight — Nike has not and does not approve or authorize MSCHF’s customized Satan Shoes,” the lawsuit reads (via Variety).

Lil Nas X trolled the haters of the shoes with a funny “apology video” over the weekend.
