Queen Elizabeth Makes a Rare Royal Visit During Pandemic

Queen Elizabeth made her first appearance in 2021.

The 94-year-old royal – who will turn 95 next month – was photographed during a visit to The Royal Australian Air Force Memorial on Wednesday (March 31) in Egham, England.

The visit was only a short drive from Windsor Castle, where she is staying amid the pandemic with her husband Prince Philip who is recovering from a month long hospital stay.

The Queen has only done a handful of appearances since the pandemic began, and while she did not wear a face mask for this visit, she was socially distanced for the ceremony for her visit. The Queen has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
