DMX Will Be Undergoing Brain Tests While on Life Support

DMX remains on life support, and doctors are making some decisions.

The 50-year-old rapper, who is in a coma at a New York hospital after a heart attack, will undergo a series of tests Wednesday (April 7) to determine how much brain function and activity he has, People reported.

“We are just waiting on the doctors to tell us what the next steps are,” DMX‘s manager, Steve Rifkind, told the outlet.

DMX was hospitalized last week after reportedly overdosing and having a heart attack at his home. He was reportedly deprived of oxygen for nearly a half hour, and sources say he had “little brain activity” afterward.

After being accepted into the ICU, he had to be resuscitated and was put on life support. He is currently in a “vegetative state.”
