John McCain's Wife Cindy Reveals Why Sarah Palin Wasn't Invited to His Funeral

Former Sen. John McCain passed away in August of 2018 after a 14 month battle with brain cancer. Now, his wife of over 35 years, Cindy, is revealing why she did not invite his former running mate, Sarah Palin, to his funeral.

If you don’t know, Senator McCain and Governor Palin were running mates in the 2008 election with the Senator running for President and the Governor as his VP.

In her new book, “Stronger: Courage, Hope, and Humor in My Life with John McCain,” Cindy McCain revealed the reason why.

“In the fourteen months that John had been sick, she never once spoke to him. He had put her on the political map, and she didn’t even send him a note of good wishes when he was down,” Cindy wrote of Palin (in a passage via People). “That is not someone you invite to a final farewell.”

Just before his death from his aggressive cancer, McCain actually wrote one final letter to the American people.
