Helen McCrory's Friends Learned of Her Cancer Diagnosis Just Days Before Her Death

Helen McCrory sadly died two weeks ago following a battle with cancer and now one of her friends is opening up about her final days.

The Harry Potter and Peaky Blinders actress died at the age of 52 on April 16 and we just learned that her friends didn’t know about her diagnosis until days before she passed away.

David Harewood, her worked on Homeland with Helen‘s husband Damian Lewis, opened up about her death in a new interview.

“Damian got in touch a couple of days before the news broke, he let us all know. It was all very, very upsetting,” he told The Mirror.

David added, “Nobody knew. None of us knew what she was battling. It was shocking and unbelievably sad. Damian did such a tremendous job in publicly handling all that. My heart goes out to him and to their two young children.”
