There's a Reason Why Anna Faris & Chris Pratt's Split Might Have Been Surprising to Those 'Even Within Their Close Circles'

When Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced they were separating, many seemed totally shocked by the decision.

After 8 years of marriage, the couple called it quits in 2017.

During her latest podcast, Anna touched on the split, first by revealing that she never had a close group of girlfriends and how that impacted her relationship.

“I think it stunted me in a lot of ways,” Anna said about not having a tight-knit group of ladies on the newest episode of her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified. “One of them being that I never talked about any issues, so to the people, even who I was closest to, I’m sure things were more transparent with my relationship with [first ex husband] Ben [Indra].”

She then revealed why her split from Chris may have been surprising to those close to her, saying, “but with Chris, I think that we both protected that imagery even within our close circles.”

She continued, “For me, I think after every breakup, at some point I realize that there were a lot of things I ignored that I really shouldn’t have. In hindsight, it felt like my hand was forced. I don’t think it was ever an independent decision.”
