Jason Lewis Is Not Returning for 'Sex & The City' Reboot

Don’t expect to see Smith Jerrod on the Sex & The City reboot series.

Jason Lewis, who famously played a model boyfriend to Kim Catrall‘s Samantha, is not coming back for the forthcoming HBO Max reboot And Just Like That, he confirmed in an interview with Daily Front Row.

The 49-year-old actor spoke out about the possibility of playing the character again after reprising the role for both of the franchise films.

Here’s what he said…

“I have not [been approached}, but I would be the last to know! As much as I appreciate the flattery, the conversation is about the girls,” he explained.

It’s already been confirmed that Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will return as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte, however Kim Catrall won’t be back as Samantha Jones.

The reboot follows the three friends “as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

Production is set to start New York in late spring.
