Kate Middleton Makes a Surprise Visit in London for a Great Cause!

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (AKA Kate Middleton) is making a surprise visit!

The 39-year-old royal was spotted heading out to visit the National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Hospital of London on Friday morning (May 7) in London, United Kingdom.

And there was good reason for the visit!

Kate marked the release of her new book, Hold Still: A Portrait of Our Nation in 2020, with the visit. The book features 100 portraits of individual people amid the pandemic, and proceeds from the book will be split between mental health charity Mind and the National Portrait Gallery, where the portraits will also become part of their permanent collection.

She wore an Eponine bright red coat, paired with a beige pleated skirt and matching high heels, along with a Demellier mini bag.

Kate also shared footage on her official Instagram account.

“Let the search begin! We’ve joined @bookfairies_uk for the day to share copies of Hold Still around the UK with you,” she captioned the post.

“Each copy is adorned with a gold book fairy sticker, gold ribbon, and has a letter from The Duchess tucked inside. To make this activity even more special, book fairies, the Hold Still judges and participants of the final 100 images are leaving copies at places that gave them hope during the lockdown. This special book documenting the unique collection of photographs goes on sale today in UK bookshops and online.”

She also made a big announcement regarding her Internet presence alongside Prince William.
