Elon Musk Has a Warning for Anyone Looking to Invest in Cryptocurrency Like Dogecoin

Cryptocurrency is likely going to be a huge topic of discussion this weekend because of Elon Musk‘s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, but he is giving a warning to anyone planning on investing.

The 49-year-old Tesla and SpaceX founder helped the cryptocurrency Dogecoin soar in value throughout 2020 and it even had a big surge this weekend ahead of the SNL episode.

“Cryptocurrency is promising, but please invest with caution!” he tweeted along with a video of him speaking to TMZ earlier this year.

“First of all, I think people should not invest their life savings in cryptocurrency to be clear. I think that’s unwise,” he said in the video.

Elon says that putting money in crypto “should be considered speculation at this point.”
