Emma Watson Calls Out Gossip About Her Love Life & Shoots Down Rumors About An Engagement

Emma Watson is fed up with all the gossip about her relationship with boyfriend Leo Robinton.

Taking to Twitter, the 31-year-old actress called out all the fabricated stories that she and Leo were engaged to be married.

After a weekend where she and Leo were spotted out running errands together, many outlets had picked up an old story that Emma and Leo had gotten engaged.

Now, Emma is finally addressing the rumors about it all, and revealing nothing is true – even the part about her career.

“Dear Fans, rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is ‘dormant or not’ are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue,” she wrote to her fans on the social media platform.

Emma added, “If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you.”

She added, “In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are – failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people. I am sending so much love to you, hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well.”

Earlier this year, Emma‘s name started to trend online after a rumor spread that she was considering retiring from acting after she last appeared in Little Women, which came out in 2019.
