Ben Affleck's Dad Comments on His Son's Reunion With Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are making headlines for the reunion of “Bennifer” in recent weeks, and now Ben‘s dad is weighing in.

Timothy Affleck, the 77-year-old father of the 48-year-old actor, spoke out in an interview with The Sun, revealing that Ben did not tell the family about their rekindling.

He addressed reports that Ben had been pining for Jennifer for years.

“I’ve never heard of all that nonsense,” he revealed.

“Of course I’ve heard of her, but I’d no idea about any of this,” he continued.

“I talk to my kids about their lives when I see them and they share with me what they want to share…I haven’t seen my kids in so long, what with their work and COVID.”

He also talked about the pressure his son faces in the industry: “A huge corporate enterprise – which Hollywood is – by its nature is a tough place to make your way and for a global star, which Ben was, it’s even harder. I just wish people would focus on the good work my son does in Congo – the women he helps there,” he said, referring to a charity in launched in 2010.

“There are important stories the media should be reporting like that, not this nonsense [about Jennifer].”

Ben made headlines and went viral after being photographed with a smile on his face after leaving Jennifer Lopez‘s home this week.
