'John Wick 4' Adds Donnie Yen & Shamier Anderson in Key Roles

John Wick Chapter 4 is adding more star power to the cast.

Donnie Yen and Shamier Anderson have joined the cast for the upcoming fourth movie in the franchise.

Donnie will play an old friend to Keanu Reeves‘ title character. He’s a fellow assassin who shares many of the same enemies as the man known as Baba Yaga.

“We are very lucky to have Donnie Yen join the franchise,” director Chad Stahelski said in a statement via The Wrap. “I am looking forward to working with him in this exciting new role.”

Producer Basil Iwanyk added, “Donnie Yen will bring a vibrant and powerful energy to the franchise. We were determined to bring him on board to John Wick 4 and are thrilled for the opportunity to have such a major talent to collaborate with Keanu.”

At this point in time, Shamier‘s role is being kept under wraps. He just starred in Netflix’s Stowaway.

“It’s a thrill to be working with an actor of Shamier’s caliber. He’s proven exceptional with drama and action and is a compelling presence on screen,” Chad added about Shamier.

It was just recently announced that Japanese pop star Rina Sawayama will also appear in the movie.
