Maren Morris & Gabby Barrett Both Drop Out of CMT Music Awards 2021 Appearances

Maren Morris and Gabby Barrett have both announced that they will not be attending the 2021 CMT Music Awards.

The country music stars both took to their Instagram accounts to share that they will be dropping out of their previously scheduled performances at the awards show, which is taking place on Wednesday, June 9.

Maren was scheduled to perform her song “Line by Line” with collaborator JP Saxe. She is now being replaced by Ingrid Andress.

“Due to a scheduling conflict, I will not be performing at the CMT Awards on Wednesday,” Maren wrote on her Instagram Story. “I know @jpsaxe will slay it and I am so excited for his album to come out soon!”

Gabby also took to her Instagram to share a photo from last year’s awards ceremony and explained why she is skipping out of this year’s ceremony.

“I’m really sad to share that because of personal circumstances I won’t be able to perform with @ladya and @carlypearce on Wednesday at the @cmt Music Awards!” Gabby wrote. “I’ll be rooting for you guys and all of the incredibly talented nominees and performers! ❣️So appreciate all of your support and will see yall on the road this summer :)”

The 2021 CMT Music Awards airs live on Wednesday, June 9 with co-host Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini. You can check out the full list of nominees here.
