The Foo Fighters Will Play the First Full Arena Concert in New York of the Pandemic Era

The Foo Fighters are helping to bring back live entertainment in a big way.

The Dave Grohl-fronted group is set to play the first full-capacity arena concert since closures began in March of 2020 amid the pandemic, the New York Times reported Tuesday (June 8).

The concert will be held at Madison Square Garden on June 20, marking the first full-capacity arena-sized performance in 15 months.

Attendees also must be fully vaccinated to enter the concert.

“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year,” Dave Grohl said in a statement, promising a night “of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos.”

To attend, audience members will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination along with their tickets when entering the venue, the venue said in a statement. Tickets will go on sale on Friday (June 11) at 10 a.m. for $50 to $119.
