Ben Platt Explains Why It Took Five Years Before He Started Dating Boyfriend Noah Galvin

Ben Platt is opening up about his relationship with Noah Galvin!

While appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 27-year-old actor/singer talked about his relationship with Noah, also 27, and explained why it took them so long to start dating.

“We’ve been together a year-and-a-half now,” Ben explained. “We were friends for five years and right before the pandemic, we finally decided to really give it a shot. We kind of skated around it for a long time.”

Ben and Noah first went public with their relationship back in May 2020.

Ben went on to say that the pandemic brought things to “zero to 60″ and he and Noah started “living together with my parents in our childhood home and seeing each other all the time…It ended up being a beautiful time.”

Kelly then remarked that their relationship could be “a movie in and of itself,” but Ben says that Noah probably doesn’t see things that way.

“He won’t say it was all of the sudden because I was pretty dumb about it,” Ben joked. “I didn’t see the light for a long time and then I realize, you know, that he was the guy.”
