'To Kill a Mockingbird' Set to Re-Open on Broadway, Will Replace Former Producer Scott Rudin

To Kill a Mockingbird is returning to Broadway.

The Aaron Sorkin adaptation is set to resume performances on October 5, 2021 at the Shubert Theatre in New York City, per THR.

Jeff Daniels will return as Atticus Finch and Celia Keenan Bolger will also reprise her Tony award-winning role as Scout Finch.

The outlet adds that the production will replace producer Scott Rudin, who announced that he would be stepping away from Broadway amid a series of workplace abuse allegations.

Orin Wolf, whose credits include the Tony award-winning musical The Band’s Visit, and Fiddler on the Roof, has been chosen to act as his replacement and will oversee all aspects of the production.

Last month, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that Broadway would begin reopening and that shows would be able to open as early as September 14.
