Gerard Butler & Morena Baccarin to Star in 'Greenland' Sequel

A sequel to Greenland is in the works!

Variety reports that Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin have signed on to reprise their roles in a sequel to the 2020 action-thriller.

In the first film, Gerard played John Garrity and Morena starred as his estranged wife Allison. The film follows their perilous journey with their son, Nathan, as they fight for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth.

Here’s a summary for the sequel: In a continuation of the story, the Garrity family, who survive a near-extinction level event when an interstellar comet hits Earth, must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker and embark on a perilous journey across the decimated frozen wasteland of Europe to find a new home.

The original filmmaking team will also return for the sequel, with director Ric Roman Waugh and screenwriter Chris Sparling also coming back for the film.
