Zooey Deschanel Reveals She Was a Fan of 'Property Brothers' Before She Started Dating Jonathan Scott

Zooey Deschanel is gushing over her boyfriend Jonathan Scott!

The 41-year-old New Girl actress appeared on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy on Wednesday (June 16) to promote her new show, The Celebrity Dating Game, and dished on her relationship with the Property Brothers star.

Host Andy Cohen asked if she was a fan of Jonathan‘s show before they started dating and Zooey revealed she was!

“You know, it’s like one of those shows, like I always liked and I would like, it was like relaxing,” she said. “Like it’s so nice. You know, at the beginning of the show, the house doesn’t look good. The end of that show, the house looks great and it’s like fun to watch, you know, all the way through. And I was always like, ‘oh, this is like a show I put on. I like relax.’”

She added, “I always felt like relaxing to me, but I never like even thought like, ‘oh, I would, you know, meet Jonathan’ and that like never even crossed my mind. So when we ended up doing, we did Carpool Karaoke together and, I was like, ‘oh my gosh, he’s just the nicest person.’”

Zooey also added that her home has definitely improved since dating Jonathan.

“It’s great because he fixes everything,” she explained. “He can fix anything. It’s amazing. He’s just like gets out his tool kit and he fixes stuff. He’s so great. Yeah. He’s just, I’ll be like, ‘oh, the fridge is broken’ or, you know, ‘oh, that, uh, the picture needs to be hung up.’ He can do everything. It’s so nice. And then I like decor and stuff like that. So like, I love buying, you know, I like buying things.”

She also gave a shout out to Jonathan‘s brother Drew and his wife Linda Phan, telling Andy that they were big fans of doing double dates.

“Drew and Linda they’re fantastic. Yeah. And then you have another brother and sister-in-law, and they’re fantastic too. You know, his other brother, JT who lives in Vegas. And, so yeah, we, I love he, he has such a great family, so everybody’s wonderful his parents, whole thing,” she said.

Zooey recently said she “didn’t remember any dates before Jonathan” in an interview!
