Shailene Woodley Joins Comedy Movie 'Robots' From 'Borat' Writer
Shailene Woodley has joined the upcoming comedy movie Robots.
The 29-year-old actress will join Jack Whitehall in the film, from Borat writer Anthony Hines.
Anthony will also co-direct the movie with Casper Christensen, according to a release from Rocket Science.
“At a time when comedies are needed more than ever, I couldn’t be more delighted than to have Shailene and Jack team up to play the leads in this movie,” Anthony shared in his statement about Shailene joining the movie.
Robots will be based on the short story by sci-fi writer Robert Sheckley, and focuses on a womanizer and a gold digger who learn humanity when forced to team up and pursue robot doubles of themselves, who have fallen in love and run away together
Production will begin in late summer, August, in New Mexico.
