Alexandra Breckinridge May Have Dropped a Huge 'This Is Us' Spoiler About Sophie's Future

Alexandra Breckinridge may have just given away a huge spoiler about the future of her character Sophie on This Is Us!

The 39-year-old actress appeared as a recurring character in season one and a main cast member in season two as a love interest to Justin Hartley‘s character Kevin.

“The reality is that I shoot Virgin River in Canada at the exact same time that they shoot This Is Us in Los Angeles. So for the last couple of years, I wasn’t able to do it. I was actually supposed to be doing it. They asked me back to do it,” Alexandra told Us Weekly in a new interview.

She continued, “Because of scheduling conflicts, I just wasn’t able to. So I think they’ve been really hoping that it would work out maybe in the future. So we’ll see — maybe something, maybe I’ll be able to come back either in a love interest capacity or in an old friend capacity.”

Alexandra then revealed a scene she previously shot that was never shown and it gives us some insight into what might happen in the future.

We already know that Kevin will be married in the future as he was seen wearing a wedding ring in a flash-forward scene. We learned in the season five finale though that he did not marry Madison, who is the mother of his twins. So, who is he married to?

Well, Alexandra revealed that she filmed a scene in old-age makeup as Sophie, so she MIGHT be his wide!

“I did do a scene where they did old makeup, but I don’t think it made it to the show,” Alexandra said. “Every time they’ve asked me to come back in the past, I’m like, I hope that I’m in the house at the end of the show and you see me in, like, old makeup and everybody’s like, ‘What? Oh, my gosh!’ And like, you’re not sure if she’s just there because their mom is in hospice or if they’re together. I really hope that happens.”

This Is Us will return for a sixth and final season in 2022.
