Erika Jayne is Accused of Using 'Glam' Lifestyle to Hide Financial Assets Amid Ongoing Legal Drama

Erika Jayne is facing more accusations amid her ongoing legal woes.

Back in December 2020, the 82-year-old lawyer and his law firm, Girardi Keese, were accused of embezzling settlement funds meant to help the families of victims of the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 plane crash. He was later sued by business partners, forcing him into chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Now, the petitioning creditors in the case filed a motion, accusing Erika of refusing to hand over bank statements to the bankruptcy trustee investigating Tom‘s assets.

Earlier this week, the trustee’s special litigation counsel confirmed that Tom‘s law firm transferred $20 million to Erika‘s various businesses, including one that was created after the embezzlement scandal broke.

The motion is requesting that Erika‘s accountant, Michael Ullman, produce a series of “key financial documents” for the investigation – including bank statements, receipts, pay stubs, and all communication between him and Erika‘s divorce attorney.

“Erika has refused to provide access to her management company, her CPA which also houses her management company, any books and records of EJ Global or any of her affiliated companies,” the document reads.

It continues, “As each day goes by, Erika has been publicly dissipating community assets by selling her clothes on public websites, flaunting large jewels on social media and on television, and has done nothing to assist in return structured firm payments being made to her instead of the firm by the California lottery, notwithstanding she was contacted through counsel over twelve days ago.”

The motion also claims that Erika used her companies to hide her assets and blocked access to her accountant, while she continues to show off her wealth.

“At every turn, Erika has used the glam to continue to aid and abet this sham transactions that have been occurring with respect to large transfers of assets from the [Girardi Keese] to Erika,” the motion says. “Moreover, the Trustee has received zero cooperation from Erika which is constant [sic] with someone hiding assets.”

The motion also referenced the newly released photos of Erika, which shows her dressed down while at a gas station. After the photos were released, she took to Twitter to clap back at people accusing her of dressing this way because she’s playing up the act that she doesn’t have money.

“As recently as yesterday, she callously sent out on social medial [sic] her bewilderment why people would continue to be upset at her displays of wealth (glam) while at a gas station, not-withstanding this money could be the Debtor’s and clients of the Debtor’s settlement proceeds, as well as other lenders and attorneys who have been cheated out of their money,” the motion reads.

These new accusations come after Erika opened up about her decision to divorce Tom in the latest episode of RHOBH.
