Kristen Stewart Admits She Can't Stop Thinking of Princess Diana After Playing Her in 'Spencer'

Kristen Stewart is opening up about how Princess Diana has affected her life months after wrapping production on Spencer, where she’ll play the late royal on the big screen.

Speaking with El Paso Inc about the movie, the 31-year-old actress revealed that Diana is always on her mind.

Spencer will be directed by Pablo Larraín and will center on Diana at a pivotal moment in her life – over a three-day weekend during the Christmas season in the early 1990s, during which she decided to divorce Prince Charles and leave the Royal Family.

“She means a lot to me – but it’s all relatively new because I’m from LA and I didn’t grow up in England,” Kristen shared about stepping into the shoes of royal life. “Before this, she was not something that was at the forefront of my mind, because I lived so far away from it all.”

However, now all that has changed.

“I can’t stop thinking about her,” Kristen admits. “I often wonder what she’d think about what’s going on in the world right now.”

Kristen also added that she’s “consumed pretty much all there is to consume in terms of videos and interviews” to become Diana for the movie. “I’ve watched everything that you could hear or see. I even go to sleep with it on.”
