Amber Tamblyn Pays Tribute to TV Dad Stuart Damon Who Passed Away at Age 84

Legendary soap star Stuart Damon sadly passed away this week and his former television daughter, Amber Tamblyn is paying tribute to him.

Stuart was best known for his role as Alan Quartermaine on General Hospital, a role he played for 30 years. He was also known for his role as the prince in 1965′s Cinderella with Lesley Ann Warren.

Amber played Stuart‘s adopted daughter, Emily Quartermaine, on the soap opera.

“Brokenhearted to hear of the passing of Stuart Damon,” Amber started to write on Twitter with a few throwback images from the set. “He played my adopted dad on General Hospital for seven years and he was the most kind, wonderful, loving, supportive person.”

She added, “He always made me laugh and made me feel safe on set. I love you, Stewy. Rest well now, my friend.”

Stuart had reportedly been struggling with renal failure and passed away on Tuesday, June 29 at the age of 84.

Just recently, Amber wrote an essay and shared her thoughts on Britney Spears‘ conservatorship.
