Jamie Lynn Spears Won't Be Using Sister Britney Spears' Lyric For Title Of Memoir

There’s been some controversy over the rumored title of Jamie Lynn Spears‘ upcoming memoir.

The 30-year-old singer has been working on the memoir to be released next year, and the publisher behind it, Hachette Group, mistakenly released a title for it online.

Websites, including Amazon, listed the title of Jamie‘s memoir as “I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out.”

Many of her sister, Britney‘s fans took notice of the first three words, which are from her debut single “…Baby One More Time.”

Now, Hachette has released a statement about the title, which reportedly isn’t the title at all.

“Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, became aware earlier today that premature information about Jamie Lynn Spears’s still-in-development book project has been erroneously released online to book retail sites,” the publisher said in a statement. “We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family.”

It went on, “Jamie Lynn’s book has been in development over the past 12 months and will allow the world to hear her inspiring story in her own words, for the first time.”

The memoir is still untitled at this time.
