Prince William Condemns Racist Attacks on England's Soccer Players in Rare Tweet

Prince William is condemning racism and racist attacks faced by some members of England’s soccer team.

After England’s loss to Italy at the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship on Sunday (July 11), vile trolls attacked Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.

The Duke of Cambridge posted, “I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match.”

“It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour,” he continued. “It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable. W”

Many are pointing out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed the racism she felt during their time in the royal family during their Oprah interview. Prince William denied those claims publicly.

During the tell-all, Meghan revealed that a member of the royal family expressed concern over the potential color of Archie‘s skin. It was later revealed which two royals did not make that comment.

Prince William watched the game live, in person with Kate Middleton and their son Prince George, 7.
