Taylor Swift's Label Gives Surprising Update About Her Grammys Eligibility

Taylor Swift is already an 11-time Grammy winner and fans figured she’d have a chance to add more trophies to her collection with her album Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

Well, we just learned that will not happen.

Taylor‘s record label just released a statement to give a surprising update to fans.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) will not be submitted for consideration at either the upcoming Grammy Award or CMA Awards. The original album was victorious at both of the ceremonies in the past.

A Republic Records representative told Billboard, “After careful consideration, Taylor Swift will not be submitting Fearless (Taylor’s Version) in any category at this year’s upcoming Grammy and CMA Awards. Fearless has already won four Grammys including album of the year, as well as the CMA Award for album of the year in 2009/2010 and remains the most awarded country album of all time.”

Taylor still has a shot at getting Grammys gold in 2022 because her album Evermore will be submitted for all eligible categories.

Billboard notes that her “decision leaves room for voters to focus on Evermore, rather than potentially split their votes between the two projects.”

Earlier this year, Taylor won Album of the Year for her surprise album Folklore.
