Eric Clapton is taking a stand.

The 76-year-old musician has issued a statement after UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson declared vaccine passes would be required to attend an event or concert in England.

“Following the PM’s announcement on Monday the 19th of July 2021, I feel honour bound to make an announcement of my own,” Eric began in his post that was shared on anti-vaxxer and producer Robin Monotti Graziadei’s Telegram account, via Rolling Stone.

He continued, “I wish to say that I will not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present.”

“Unless there is provision made for all people to attend, I reserve the right to cancel the show,” he concluded.

Eric hasn’t exactly been quiet about his stance on quarantine, as he recently released a song with Van Morrison called “Stand and Deliver.”

His next shows in the UK are currently scheduled for May 2022 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Eric also has a handful of North American concerts scheduled for this September.

Eric isn’t alone in his skepticism over the pandemic and the vaccine. These other celebs are refusing to take the vaccine altogether.
