Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's Custody Case Takes a Turn, Judge Disqualified
There is yet another update in the ongoing custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
The judge who was working on the case has now been disqualified after previously granting Brad more time with his five minor children. That ruling has now been voided and the custody arrangement between the former couple will revert back to a previous agreement from November 2018.

People reports that an opinion submitted by three appellate judges found that Judge John Ouderkirk “violated his ethical obligations.” He is now ineligible from serving as a temporary judge in the case.
Angelina previously filed to have the judge removed back in August 2020 and now she finally has received her wish. The reason for her request was because the judge allegedly has a business relationship with one of Brad‘s attorneys and he failed to disclose this information in a timely manner.
The ruling in the appeals court stated, “Judge Ouderkirk‘s ethical breach, considered together with the information disclosed concerning his recent professional relationships with Pitt‘s counsel, might cause an objective person, aware of all the facts, reasonably to entertain a doubt as to the judge’s ability to be impartial. Disqualification is required.”
A spokesperson for Brad has spoken out about the ruling.
“The appeals court ruling was based on a technical procedural issue. The facts haven’t changed. There is an extraordinary amount of factual evidence which led the judge—and the many experts who testified—to reach their clear conclusion about what is in the children’s best interests. We will continue to do what’s necessary legally based on the detailed findings of what’s best for the children,” the rep told People.
Brad and Angelina‘s eldest child, 19-year-old Maddox, is no longer part of the custody cast as he is an adult. The previous ruling from Ouderkirk granted Brad more time with Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.
We recently learned that three of the kids wanted to testify against Brad in the custody case.
