Steven Spielberg Films a Beach Scene for 'The Fabelmans' with Newcomer Sam Rechner!

Steven Spielberg is currently shooting his upcoming semi-autobiographical movie The Fabelmans and we have some great new photos from set!

The Oscar-winning director was on hand on Thursday (July 22) while filming a beach scene in Malibu, Calif.

Newcomer Sam Rechner, 19, who will be playing one of Steven‘s high school classmates, was spotted going shirtless while competing against other boys in some games on the beach. Also spotted on set was Chloe East from HBO Max’s Generation!

The Fabelmans is loosely based on Spielberg‘s childhood and the movie will also star Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano, and Julia Butters.

Sam recently starred in Ruby’s Choice with Jane Seymour and he will also be seen in the upcoming second season of the Amazon Prime Video series The Wilds.
