A Live-Action Pokemon Series Is Reportedly in Early Development at Netflix

According to a new report, a live-action Pokemon series is in the works at Netflix!

Variety writes that the new series is currently in the early stages of development, with Lucifer showrunner and executive producer Joe Henderson attached to write and produce the project.

The outlet adds that there currently aren’t any details about the plot, but that the show would be comparable to the 2019 movie Detective Pikachu, which starred Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith.

Netflix is already home to a number of Pokemon shows, including Pokemon: Indigo League and Pokemon Journeys.
