Simone Biles Withdraws From Olympics Gymnastics Team Final Competition - Read the Statement
In a shocking turn of events, Simone Biles, the fan favorite and considered one of the greatest gymnasts ever, has withdrawn from the team final at the Tokyo Olympics.
A statement was just released about the 24-year-old gymnast and the decision for her to withdraw.

“Simone Biles has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions,” the statement, via the US Gymnastics team, read.
In addition, one of her coaches said in a statement, “Physically she is fine. But she is done for tonight.”
She was replaced in the competition by reserve Jordan Chiles. On Sunday evening, she led the all-around standings after the qualifying round on Sunday. The US women’s gymnastics team was the favorite to win the overall competition, but was behind Russia’s team.
