If you didn’t know, Rosie appeared in the 1992 Penny Marshall-directed A League of Their Own movie as #22, third base player Doris Murphy.

While appearing Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, Rosie confirmed her appearance on the upcoming series.

“Yes, I’m playing a bartender in one of the scenes at the local gay bar,” Rosie revealed. “I didn’t shoot it yet, I’m shooting it in the upcoming months.”

Last summer it was announced that Amazon was working on A League of Their Own series, with Broad City star Abbi Jacobson co-creating the series, and starring in it, alongside Will Graham.

In her interview, Rosie said that Abbi personally called her and asked her to be involved in the show.

“I had a great experience on A League of Their Own,” Rosie shared. “I love the Broad City women and when I was told [Abbi] was doing League, she called me up and said, ‘Ro, would you do it?’ And I said, ‘In a minute.’”

“Then she sent me the pilot that she did and it was just really beautiful,” she added.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that this Parks & Rec alum will also be starring in the series!
