Disney+ Drops First Look & Premiere Date For 'Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.'

Disney+ has revealed when Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. will be premiering!

Based on Doogie Howser, M.D., the new series will be set in modern-day Hawaii, the 10-episode comedy follows Lahela “Doogie” Kameāloha (Peyton Elizabeth Lee), a mixed-race 16-year-old girl, juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager.

Guiding Lahela (and also complicating things) is her family, including her spitfire Irish mother (Kathleen Rose Perkins) who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, her doting father Benny (Jason Scott Lee) who helps keep her connected to what matters most, her free-spirited older brother Kai, her gregarious younger brother Brian Patrick, her best friend Steph, her surfer crush Walter and her fellow hospital colleagues, Dr. Lee, Charles and Noelani.

Matthew Sato, Wes Tian, Emma Meisel, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Mapuana Makia also star in the show.

Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. will debut on Disney+ on September 8.
