ACLU Must Release Documentation Proving Amber Heard Donated Her Johnny Depp Divorce Settlement, Judge Rules

A New York judge has agreed to Johnny Depp‘s request in his ongoing legal battle with Amber Heard.

The 58-year-old actor requested that his ex wife has to prove she donated her $7 million divorce settlement to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, as was part of their initial divorce agreement.

The ACLU now has to comply and provide documentation that Amber donated her share of the money.

“Mr. Depp is most gratified by the Court’s decision,” Johnny‘s lawyer Benjamin Chew said in a statement to USA Today.

Back in 2016 as part of their divorce settlement, Amber agreed to donate her $7 million to charity. In 2021, Amber had to respond to allegations that she actually did not donate the money and pocketed it instead.

Johnny seemingly wants to reverse a London judge’s ruling that the “wife beater” headline he was labeled with did not defame him. He has already requested a retrial.
