Tinashe Opens Up About the Meaning Behind Her Album '333' & Celebrates on Release Day!

Tinashe celebrates the release of her new studio album 333 at Craig’s Restaurant on Thursday night (August 5) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 28-year-old “Bouncin’” singer recently opened up to Notion about her new project.

On her album’s title 333, inspired by the angel number associated with messages from the divine of protection, love, and destiny: “I named it 333 because I really felt like I was on the right path, in alignment with what I was meant to do. I just wanted to acknowledge that.”

On the potential of the Internet: “I feel there’s opportunity for an interesting discussion on simulated reality and what that could mean in terms of killing our egos, or using it as an empowering situation to create our own destinies.”

On her creative process: “There’s not too much strategy or thought behind like the genres that I explore when I’m creating. It just kind of naturally happens from whatever I’m imbibing, even on that day.”

She also opened up about her former record label, and creative restraints.
