Ellen Burstyn To Reprise Emmy Winning Role on 'Law & Order: Organized Crime'

Ellen Burstyn is returning to the Law & Order franchise.

The 88-year-old actress is set to reprise her role as Bernadette Stabler, Detective Elliot Stabler’s mother on Law & Order: Organized Crime.

According to TV Line, Ellen will be a guest star in the upcoming season two, which is set to start filming this month in New York City.

Bernadette appeared in an episode of SVU’s season 10, when she appeared after her granddaughter, Kathleen, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

She was seen having conversations with both Elliot and Olivia, and viewers learned she was diagnosed as bipolar.

Ellen won a Guest Actress Emmy for her SVU performance.

Law & Order: Organized Crime will return for season two on Thursday, September 23 on NBC.

It was recently revealed that Ellen will also be reprising this other famous role of hers.
