Joe Biden made a special appearance at Barack Obama‘s 60th birthday party over the weekend – virtually, that is.

The 46th President of the United States recorded a video message for Obama, who was the 44th president.

According to a source, via People, Biden recorded a “heartfelt” video, which was played at the party.

The source shared that his message was “heartfelt and focused on the bond between their families and the wonderful young women Obama’s daughters and Biden’s granddaughters had become.”

“The greatest gift of our time together is the bond between our families,” Biden shared in the video. “Happy birthday, 44. Jill and I send you and Michelle our love. Look forward to seeing you soon.”
