Olympic Cyclist Olivia Podmore Has Died at 24
Olivia Podmore, a former Olympic cyclist from New Zealand, has died at the young age of 24.
The athlete competed in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Olivia‘s death was confirmed on social media by her brother Mitchell. He wrote on Facebook, “Rest in peace to my gorgeous sister and loved daughter of Phil Podmore. You will be in our hearts forever.”

A cause of death is not known at this time. A spokesperson for the Waikato Police has said that police responded to a report of a sudden death on Monday night (August 8).
The spokesperson told Stuff, “Police are making enquiries in relation to the death on behalf of the coroner. The coroner will release their finding in due course.”
