Joel Kinnaman Under Investigation For Rape, His Lawyer Responds To Accusations

Joel Kinnaman is under investigation for rape following getting a restraining order against model Gabriella Magnusson (aka Bella Davis).

A spokesperson for the Swedish Prosecution Authority revealed that Joel, who currently stars in The Suicide Squad, has been accused in an ongoing investigation concerning alleged rape.

Earlier this month, Joel had spoken out about being extorted by Gabriella, and was successful in getting a restraining order against her.

However, Joel is still a person of interest in the ongoing investigation.

“The prosecutor got the case today and has hardly been able to look at it. She has said there is a need for further investigative matters before she can make a decision,” the spokesperson for the Swedish Prosecution Authority shared, via E! News.

There has been no plans revealed for the investigation, but that it is normal to interview the alleged perpetrator.

Joel‘s lawyer has responded to the investigation, saying that “after learning of the restraining order, she [Gabriella] filed her complaint.

Patricia Glaser went on, saying, that “the court papers that Mr. Kinnaman filed stated, among other things, that Ms. Davis threatened to publicize false information about Mr. Kinnaman—including that he had sex with her against her will—unless he capitulated to her monetary and other demands, which included Hollywood introductions, a work visa sponsorship, a blue verification checkmark on Instagram, and more. Mr. Kinnaman will be cooperating with police to clear his name.”
