According to Variety, Sony has decided to push the film back by just a few weeks to October 15, 2021. The new surge of the Delta variant has caused a “decline in consumer confidence in returning to the movies,” Variety reports, and the studio must be worried about the theatrical release of the film.

Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and more.
