Princess Charlene In Recovery Following Third Surgery To Correct Previous Surgical Complications

Princess Charlene is in recovery following a third surgery.

The Monegasques royal, who is the wife of Prince Albert, has been in her home country of South Africa for a few months as she recovered from another surgery that was to correct long-haul complications from an ENT surgery.

In a statement, via People, Prince Albert shared that Charlene‘s “operation went well” and she is “resting and we are thinking of her with tenderness.”

The surgery that took place on Friday (August 13) required Charlene to have general anesthetic and lasted four hours, the palace confirmed.

Charlene has previously opened up about the complications she has been suffering from after having a sinus lift and bone graft, which became infected. The impact on her sinuses meant she was unable to fly back to Monaco for several months.

The plan is for her to return to Monaco in October.

Charlene shares two children, six-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, with Albert.
