Swimmer Ryan Lochte Undergoes Surgery For Torn Meniscus

Ryan Lochte is recovering from surgery after tearing his meniscus in an undisclosed accident.

The 37-year-old competitive swimmer revealed the news on his Instagram Story to fans ahead of the weekend.

In his Instagram Story, Ryan had shared a photo of himself giving the thumbs up from a medical center.

“Surgery was a success,” he captioned, while lying on a bed while wearing a hospital gown.

While Ryan didn’t say what the surgery was for, his wife, Kayla Lochte, revealed what happened. meniscus.

“So Ryan’s at surgery,” she shared in a video on her own Instagram. “I don’t know if I told you guys how he tore his meniscus, so he’s getting that fixed this morning.”

She added later with a pic of Ryan giving a thumbs up.

“A legend of lessons… don’t race down an inflatable kids water slide folks! 👴🏼♥️,” she wrote.
